ECS at NSPMA Conference

Steve Hefner

Engineered Control Solutions was at the National School Plant Management Association Conference on February 21-24 at the Embassy Suites Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was a privilege to meet School Plant Management professionals from many different states and discuss Distech Controls and how to make Building Automation systems work more efficiently while providing greater system ownership to the end user.

A common theme among those who stopped by our booth was the desire for a broader range of service and support options. Even in today’s “open protocol controls” era, many control lines still have a proprietary component that ties the end user to a specific contractor or control line for support, upgrades, and future expansion. ECS works to educate architects, engineers, and end users on how to bring BAS system ownership back to the end user.

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) is a group of world class practitioners working to make the learning environment as optimal as possible for students and staff in schools across the country. They provide professional development, promote leadership through publications, conduct world class conferences, and exchange visionary ideas for the future of member schools.
